PHILIPSBURG:--- On June 30th 2015, The Windward Islands Bank Ltd. (WIB) welcomed 23 students for their annual Summer Work Experience Programme. Mrs. Sherry-Anne Mc-Namara-Casey (Human Resource Officer) greeted and informed the students of the bank’s work ethics, as well as the bank’s expectations of them, during their short stay at WIB. The students will gather a wealth of knowledge and skills, while at WIB for this one month period.
The students were introduced to Mr. Derek Downes, WIB’s Managing Director, who welcomed them and encouraged them to do their best, while amassing as much knowledge as they can, which could be an asset to them in the future.
The departments which will provide hands on work experience for the students includes: Insurance, Marketing, Credit, Foreign Exchange, Reconciliation, Branch network among others.
