Be The Change Foundation accepts donation.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The acting President of Be the Change Foundation, Melanie Choisy, along with Barbara Cannegieter proudly accepted a donation of $5500.00 from the gofundme Be the Change Endowment campaign, remembering Erika Cannegieter-Smith, the founder of Be the Change.

This fund was started by Doctor Soc of Island 92 and Bruce Park , a frequent visitor to the island, as a way to remember Erika, by donating to her organization which she held so dear to her heart.
People from all over contributed to raise this money, many of whom had never met Erika but who had heard of her good works.

Be the Change is gratified of the support for their organization and hopes people will continue supporting them throughout the next year.
Be the Change will announce early next year what organizations they will be highlighting throughout 2015.
Currently organizations can still apply for funding by emailing Be the Change at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The money from the gofundme endowment will be held in an endowment fund in Erika's name and a special project for use of that money will soon be decided upon.

We thank everyone for their generous contributions and in particular we thank Jeffrey Sochrin and Bruce Park for spearheading the campaign.
