Health & Healing Seminar at National Institute of Arts.

PHILIPSBURG:--- On Friday, November 21, National Institute of Arts (NIA) will host a seminar entitled "The Path of the Organic Self: A Journey into the mysteries of the Human Body and Beyond."
The workshop focuses on the human body, health and disease and will take place at the John Larmonie Center on Longwall Road, Philipsburg from 6:30-8:30pm. Led by Osteopath – Yogacharya (Master in Yoga) Patrick Salibi, D.O., the aim of the workshops is to help participants get in tune with their inner selves.
"Pain and disease are not what they seem to be. They are a storehouse of information and energy, waiting to be tapped into. This is what Nature teaches us when we truly listen," Salibi said.
According to NIA Co-director Clara Reyes, Salibi plans to share the fundamental principles of genuine health and healing, in a way that is accessible to all. She said that he will fuse the therapeutic science of osteopathy and the ancient wisdom of Yoga in order to offer tips and tricks on how to develop a better relationship with the body, relax tensions and open up to a new world of sensations within.
"Over the past decade, Patrick's unique and down to earth teachings have helped thousands of people. They are always delivered with passion, honesty and a sense of humor," Reyes said.
The public is invited to join in on this and more information about Salibi's lecture can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eek2Tbk6HGY.
"Take the opportunity to dive deeper into the philosophy of Yoga and share your concerns and questions with an experienced health professional who is also a yogi," Reyes said.
Cost of the seminar is $20, but for those who took part in the OSTEO YOGA 2 day workshop November 2014, the fee is waived. Doors open at 6:15 in order for everyone to be settled so that there may be a prompt start.
"All are welcomed, but space is limited so for reservations, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.," Reyes said.
In addition, Thursday, November 20, will be the second day of a two day workshop on womb healing. The first part of the workshop focused on slow, sensual movement in order to allow participants to tap into their inner Goddess and allow for feminine essences to take over any inhibitions. The workshop was paired with Eastern sounds and mantras to set the tone.
"Participants who missed day one can still be a part of day two, which is also hosted by Patrick," Reyes said, "The cost for one day is $75 and special focus will be given to delving into understanding of the mysteries of the Sacred Feminine. We learn how to nurture our inner organs and relax our bodies."
Reyes explained that Shakti is feminine power and energy and that the participants will discover how to channel it as well as they use their entire bodies to flow into it. Core elements of footwork, hand gestures and facial expressions will also be introduced in order to achieve full immersion into this energy.
"We look forward to welcoming all participants to this workshop and of course to the seminar on Friday evening. These are mediums for healing and we encourage all persons to take advantage of them," Reyes said.
