The Division of Study Financing of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth & Sports Affairs hereby announces that:
The study financing application period for the scholastic year 2015/2016 commenced on Wednesday October 15, 2014 and will close on Thursday January 15, 2015.
Persons applying for study financing are required to submit the following documents:
- Proof of Dutch Nationality from the Census Office or a copy of the Passport
- An Original Birth Certificate (If the applicant was born outside of the former Netherlands Antilles, the original birth certificate must have the apostille stamp).
- A detailed registration form from the Census office.
- A valid health certificate
- A tax assessment statement from the Inspectorate of Taxes supporting parental income for 2013
- Most recent grades/report card, transcript or high school
- Proof of application or admittance to educational institut
- A copy of a career interest test
- 2 recent passport pictures
Please note that:
The study must be a priority area of study for the Government of St.Maarten.
Students are being encouraged to pursue their studies in the region (USA, CANADA, Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire, Barbados, Trinidad, Puerto Rico etc.)

All the above-mentioned documents must be handed in at the office of the Division of Study Financing located at N. De Brotstraat #3, Vlaun Building, (Opposite the Post Office) from Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 12:00 and 13:00 – 17:00.
No applications will be accepted after January 15, 2014.
