Shuttle bus hired to transport TelEm Group workers through flooded roads around Pond Island building Monday.

POND ISLAND:--- TelEm Group will be laying on a shuttle bus service for employees Monday, to ferry workers to the company's main building on Pond Island.
The bus will pick up personnel in the government parking lot, Pond Island, from 7:00 in the morning Monday and will transport the workers from this location to the main building via University Boulevard and into Soualiga Drive. Both roads are presently flooded following a torrential downpour Saturday.
"Conditions are such that employees may be forced to turn back rather than face having to navigate through the high water line on the roads leading to our offices," said Manager Procurement and General Affairs, Mrs. Carmen Lake-Reyes.
She said the parking lot and areas around the TelEm Group building is not under water, therefore access to the building itself is normal.
"Management has hired the shuttle bus for the convenience of its personnel, but members of the public who have business to conduct will also be able to make use of the bus," said Mrs. Lake-Reyes.

She said the shuttle will remain in effect until the water subsides and it is once again safe for vehicles to navigate Soualiga Drive, the road leading to the TelEm Group Building.
