Suspect Surrendered to Police on Friday October 10th
PHILIPSBURG:--- A 17 year old young man identified as S.G. surrendered to police on Friday October 10th, 2014 as the person who shot another young man in the FLEX DVD store Thursday afternoon. It was first reported that the shooter walked into the DVD store and witnessed two men robbing the store at the time when he whipped out a firearm and shot one of the robbers to death. The robber has been identified as Etienne Le Blanc. Press Prosecutor Tineke Kamps said in a press release on Friday that the 17 year old surrendered to police and he was placed in custody on the suspicion of murder/manslaughter. The arrest took place in the investigation "Chuchubi" that started Thursday after a shooting in the store "Most Requested Flex" on Frontstreet, in which a young man was killed. The suspect reported himself at the police station and is now being questioned. He will be placed in police custody. Given the current investigation, the public prosecution service will not give further comments.
