Business Owners/Managers Invited to FCCA Conference & Trade Show Open Day, Register by October 8.

POINT BLANCHE:--- Business owners/managers will be able to experience the 21st Annual Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Cruise Conference & Trade Show during a first time ever open day on Thursday, October 9 from 8:00am to 1:00pm.

Registration opens as of Wednesday, October 1. Individuals who register will be visiting the trade floor of the conference and registration is limited to 300 persons.

Registration can be done by visiting Port St. Maarten's website: www.portofstmaarten.com and click on FCCA Registration and follow the structions. Individuals can also visit the Port St. Maarten Office at the Captain Hodge Wharf Police Sub Station on the boardwalk to fill in a registration form.

The deadline for registration is Wednesday, October 8 at 12:00pm.

"This is the first time ever that the FCCA is allowing business representatives this type of form of access to be a part of the conference and trade show. A half day will allow the aforementioned to experience a trade show and see for themselves how it is done, how ports and other stakeholders come together to sell their destination, products, and services to the different cruise lines and other important partners in cruise.

"I am very pleased that the FCCA cooperated with this. It goes hand in hand with Reinventing Cruise St. Maarten and our celebration of 50-years of cruise in 2014," Chief Executive Officer Port St. Maarten Mark Mingo said on Tuesday.

Please note that all registered participants may only gain access to the port via the water taxi at the Captain Hodge Wharf. A valid form of identification and a copy of the message confirming your registration should be presented to a member of staff once you have arrived at the Captain Hodge Wharf.

Registered persons must gather at the Ring Road on Thursday, October 9 (across from the former Van Dorp) where parking spaces have been reserved for conference attendees.

Shuttle service, which begins at 7:00 am, will transport you from the Ring Road to the Captain Hodge Wharf, and the water taxi will carry you to the port. A member of staff will direct you to the conference site.

100 cruise executives, presidents, chief executive officers, and approximately 1000 conference attendees are scheduled to start arriving this weekend Saturday/Sunday, October 4 and 5 for the FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show that will be held from October 6-10.
