USM and VLF Offer Emotional Freedom Techniques to General Public.

universityofstmartin28092014PHILIPSBURG:--- The University of St. Martin in its efforts to meet the growing needs of the community of St. Maarten, is now embarking upon an adult education class, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) in collaboration with Victorious Living Foundation.
The EFT course provides the participant with the history, science and practical application of EFT so that he/she may utilize these techniques to overcome physical, emotional, or psychological pain, trauma, or other challenges in his or her life. This course is relevant to persons who have never heard the term Emotional Freedom Techniques and those who have an awareness of this practice.
The participant will encounter both an individual and group participatory format that will enable him/her to apply the techniques learned immediately to improve his/her life. The course is being taught by Dr. Erna Mae Francis-Cotton, a transformational leader who has transformed the lives of persons of all ages, races and cultures; couples, families, and organizations through her authentic and passionate love for life and people. She is a certified success coach and holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Tampa, Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Oral Roberts University, and an honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from Grace Hill Bible University.
Francis-Cotton has been empowering individuals, couples, youth, families and communities as a marriage and family therapist and social entrepreneur since the turn of the century. During the non-credit course, interested participants from the community will receive an introductory knowledge of EFT; the history of EFT; the science behind EFT; the EFT tapping Basic Recipe; the EFT tapping points; alleviation of stress; trauma; pain and much more.
The deadline for registration is today, Monday September 29, 2014. Interested persons should apply at USM's admissions office; pay the application fee after which they'll receive the course schedule; and classes begin on Tuesday September 30, 2014 from 6-7:30 p.m. and runs for 12 weeks.
