Seven Seas Waters donates to young aspiring musician.

sswdonatestoacquillacarty19092014POINT BLANCHE:--- Twelve year old Acquilla Carty has become the latest recipient of a donation made by Seven Seas Waters, in its ongoing commitment to aid youth development and nation-building, wherever the company has an opportunity of doing so.
The young aspiring musician has been a student of Dow's Musical Foundation since 2013 and currently plays tenor pan. Already having performed in numerous events, Acquilla aspires "to grow musically on a professional level". As such, she is scheduled to be among members of Dow's Musical Foundation's Ebony Steel Orchestra performing at the Augusta Partnership Children's Family Week Festival in the U.S. on October 5th upcoming.
The group will be going to the U.S. at the invitation of the James Brown Family Foundation, as a cultural exchange that would enable St. Maarten youth steel pan players to perform in the U.S. while members of the James Brown Family Foundation are scheduled to perform in St., Maarten next year.
To make the trip possible, Dow's Musical Foundation is taking care of air fare with the host foundation providing accommodations.
Having co-sponsored Dow's Musical Foundation in the past, Seven Seas Waters recently donated 1000 U.S. dollars towards this latest endeavor.
"Contributing to cultural exchange, enhancing steel pan music as art form and assisting St. Maarten's youth are responsibilities we proudly embrace", says Seven Seas Waters managing director Franklyn Richards.
