WILLEMSTAD, Curacao:--- Former Finance Minister of Curacao George Jamaloodin was arrested early Thursday morning as law enforcement continue the investigation on the assassination of Member of Parliament Helmin Wiels. The Prosecutors Office in Curacao confirmed that G.J was arrested and a house search was conducted on Thursday morning. During the house search authorities seized a number of items. It is alleged that Jamaloodin is the person that masterminded the brutal assassination of MP Helmin Wiels. At the time of the brutal murder Weils was investigating and releasing information on fraud and other crimes committed by Government officials in Curacao.
Since the assassination several key persons have been arrested as police continue their investigation.
