PHILIPSBURG:--- Mrs. Provence has been appointed by the President of the Dominican Republic Mr. Danilo Medina to represent the General Direction of the Multilateral Cooperation (DIGECOOM) in the capacity of Vice-Consul. Mrs. Provence will focus to strength the trade relationship between the DR, St. Maarten and surrounding islands.
Mrs. Provence is very well known in both the Dominican and St. Maarten community for her dedication and commitment to serve others. Mrs. Provence has been working and supporting different local communities and foundations and in her new role will not be the exception. In her new role Provence has started to meet with several public and private sector in order to work together.
As a businesswoman Provence has over 42 years experience in the tourism industry and is currently General Manager at Sea Palace hotel; she has been with the Sea Palace Hotel for over 30 years and for 4 years in a row she has been the president of the Timeshare Association and currently is the president of the South Rewards Community Council, President of the Dominican Week's Celebrations for 3 years in a row, Member of the Spanish Catholic community and Board Member of the Tzu Chi Foundation. Without doubt her experience and the years living in St. Maarten makes her the right fit for the position.
