Students fall ill at school for eating Space Cake.

EBENEZER:--- On Friday, January 17th, 2014, the Community Police Officers for the Sint Peters and Reward districts were called to the Sint Maarten Academy P.S.V.E. where at least two students had fallen ill. On the scene the officers noticed that one female and one male student had become quite ill. They were behaving quite paranoid, hallucinating, and had an aggressive behavior. Both students seemed at the time to be under the influence of some unknown substance and were difficult to communicate with. The paramedics were called in and the students were taken to the Sint Maarten Medical Center to be checked out. After being attended to medically, the students/victims stated to the investigating detectives that the reason why they became ill is because they had eaten "Space Cake" which they bought from a fellow student at school. "Space Cake" is made with the fluids from a marijuana plant. It comes in the form of a slice of a normal cake or as a "Brownie". Its effects could be paranoia, hallucination, and aggressive behavior among other symptoms. This cake might not directly cause death but can be quite hazardous to ones health, especially those persons who are suffering from asthma, high blood pressure, and other illnesses. The parents of the students in question were informed of the situation and an investigation by the detective department is ongoing. No arrests have been made in this case as yet. In the afternoon on that same day, a third and fourth victim who are students from the Sundial School were treated at the Sint Maarten Medical Center for also eating "Space Cake".

NOTE: As this police report was being written information came in that two more students, one from the Sint Maarten Academy P.S.V.E. and one from the Sundial School were taken to the Sint Maarten Medical Center to be treated for eating "Space Cake".
CAUTION: The Police Department is hereby sending out a very stern warning to all parents informing that they should discuss this issue with their children, its effects and consequences. They should pay very close attention to their children's behavior for symptoms as a result of the use of illegal drugs.
