GREAT BAY (DCOMM):--- Minister Plenipotentiary Hon. Mathias S. Voges, Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunications Hon. Romeo Pantophlet and Edward Dest of the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau, met with representatives of the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau in Holland and with KLM Director Harm Kreulen and his delegation at their Head Office in Amstelveen on October 17.
One of the discussion points with KLM was the reduction in airfares to St. Maarten; price level comparisons with other Caribbean destinations; load factor St. Maarten KLM flight; St. Maarten as a hub for the Caribbean Region; and combination possibilities with other destinations such as Miami and New York.
On October 17 Minister Pantophlet visited St. Maarten House in The Hague where the Tourist Bureau gave a power point presentation.
