PHILIPSBURG:--- The St. Maarten National Fashion Development Association (NFDA) launches with various plans to propel the island to its rightful place within the Caribbean fashion industry.
Their vision is "To realize St. Maarten as the Fashion capital of the Caribbean". The organization intends to accomplish said vision through efforts of marketing, fashion events and skill development workshops. According to the foundation, the island has a unique ambiance, access and appeal, that when properly utilized can be great for fashion creativity and events.
The NFDA will partner with various like-minded international organizations to add value to Fashion Tourism on the island, and contribute to exposure of homegrown talent – showcasing them in world-class events both at home and abroad.
