PHILIPSBURG:--- The President of Parliament Hon. Gracita Arrindell would like to congratulate Founder and President of KeLaHa Foundation Keoma Hamer who was recently recognized and bestowed with the 2014 VIP Professional Women of Excellence Award for the Southern Region from the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).
The recognition was awarded near the end of April at the National Networking Conference in the United States.
The award recognizes professional women leaders and mentors who have made a difference in the lives of others.
Hamer was also awarded the 2013/2014 NAPW Professional Woman of the Year for leadership in November 2013.
"Keoma Hamer is another strong Sint Maarten woman who has been recognized for her good work in our community. Her strength comes from personal experiences. On behalf of the House of Parliament and myself, I commend her for the work that she is doing.
"Her quest to bring about cervical cancer/HPV awareness via her Foundation KeLaHa that strives to help those battling cervical cancer in the country and on other neighbouring islands," President of Parliament Hon. Gracita Arrindell said on Sunday.
