Alex Richards Plagiarizes Again --- Why is the President and the TC not taking Action against Richards?

Marigot:--- Several newspaper articles surfaced on Wednesday and Thursday about the former Director of the President's Cabinet Alex Richards who was again caught copying other peoples' work on the internet and presenting it as his work to the Territorial Council. Days after the RRR party won the Territorial Election with a landslide victory, reporters on St. Martin became the President's worst enemies when they all wrote that the President's national address on April 1 was stolen off the internet from the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso. It took the President almost one week before he responded to the news of his stolen speech, in his response he said that reporters on St. Martin placed special emphasis on his speech and not on RRR's political program and the real issues facing St. Martin. It might be true that the reporters on the French and Dutch sides of the island have been watching Alex Richards closely but that is only because all reporters on St. Martin know that Alex Richards is someone who loves to surf the net and copy other people's work. He was dismissed from the tourist office some years ago when it was discovered that he stole the tourism plan of Nieve and presented to then municipal council.
President Richardson told reporters in his first press conference that Alex Richards no longer works in his cabinet and he was dismissed as his Director of Cabinet, yet Richards is seen every day at the Collectivity among the Presidential Cabinet. It was also announced that Alex Richards will be in charge of Cooperation and European Affairs. On Tuesday morning, Alex Richards presented a motion to the Territorial Council which will be sent to Paris and the very first lines of the document show that the motion did not fit St. Martin's reality. While the motion was presented to the council and voted upon it appears as though the members of the Territorial Council did not read the document Richards presented to them. In the third line of the motion, Richards said that if the motion is accepted it will allow St. Martin to be part of the European Union. It appears as though Richards himself did not read what he was copying from the internet because St. Martin is already part of the European Union since 1989. It does not seem as though Alex Richards would ever change his ways when it comes to stealing copyright work from the internet. His actions so far have been detrimental to the RRR government and it is of utter importance that the President of the COM take serious sanctions against Alex Richards.
